A fairly common, but local species. Its strongholds are in the north-west and south-west of the county.

Wingspan :  M & F, 22-34mm.

Latticed Heath.

Habitat

Mostly heathland and moorland, but also found in meadows, grassland and woodland rides.

Foodplant

Heather, clovers, vetches and trefoils.

Lifestage data

Overwinters as a pupa in a slight cocoon on or just in the soil. Larva mid June-mid September.
